In an innovative endeavour within the suburb of Burwood, Appleseed Gardening undertook a unique project that seamlessly blends the beauty of custom-made art with the vibrant life of vertical gardens. This collaboration with the client aimed to create a living masterpiece that elevates the outdoor space into a realm of artistic expression and natural beauty.

Sculpting with Plants

Utilising panels of vertical gardens, we framed bespoke art pieces, crafting a backdrop that breathes life into each artwork. The selection of plants was intentional, focusing on the texture and colour contrast to enhance the visual appeal. Walking Iris provided elegance, Echeveria added succulence and texture, Alternanthera brought vibrant colour, and Nandina offered delicate foliage, together creating a mesmerising vertical landscape.

A Symphony of Shrubs & Bulbs

Moving to the front yard, the transformation continued with an infusion of flowering shrubs and bulbs. Hydrangeas and Gardenias were chosen for their lush blooms and intoxicating fragrance, Clivea for its sun-loving nature, and Lavender for a touch of serenity. This botanical collection was further enriched with clusters of bulbs, setting the stage for a year-round display of colour and life.

Crafting a Pollinator Paradise

Beyond aesthetics, this project was designed with biodiversity in mind. By selecting a variety of flowering plants and bulbs, we aimed to attract pollinators, contributing to the local ecosystem’s health.
